The Sitch is Taking on the Fitch
According to multiple media sources such as US Weekly & Entertainment Weekly Mike "the Situation" Sorrentino has decided to take on Abercrombie & Fitch. Months after the clothing company asked the Jersey Shore star via press release to stop wearing the brand because it didn't want to be associated with the MTV show's seemingly negative image. Well now Sorrentino is suing the company for $4 million ($1 million for royalties and $3 million for damages) for the company's use of Jersey Shore catch phrases that were trademarked by Sorrentino. "As a result of [Abercrombie & Fitch's] publicity campaign, [the retailer] profited off of the use of a false affiliation with Sorrentino," his legal team says. "It has wrongly used Sorrentino's name, image and likeness for advertising purposes in violation of applicable law." It seems as if Abercrombie & Fitch's attempt to gain publicity this summer by challenging Mike and the Jersey Shore cast, has backfired in way that may cost the company way more than just bad publicity.

Miscommunication Causes Hollister Riot
Abercrombie & Fitch decided that for Black Friday this year they would open most of the company stores at midnight. the only problem is that they failed to get the right information out to the consumer. They alerted people that their Hollister store in Soho, New York City would be one of the stores opening at midnight causing people to begin lining up around 9:00 pm on Thanksgiving awaiting the major sales that were advertised, only to find out that the Hollister Soho store wasn't considered one of the companies "chain stores" and wouldn't be opening until 10:00 am causing riots to ensue. The disgruntled consumers bum rushed the door and began to throw merchandise on the floor as well as boost mass amounts of merchandise. Although there was security on duty it wasn't enough to handle the crazy crowd. All could have been avoided and probably saved the company a lot of stress as well as a lot of money had their been better organization and communication between the company and the consumer.
